Gov’t soldier killed by unknown gunman in Nasir, situation calm

January 30th 2019 (Nyamilepedia) – A government soldier was killed on Wednesday afternoon by an unknown gunman who opened fire against people sitting in a tea shop in Nasir town of Latjor state,  sources have confirmed to the Nyamilepedia.

One source said although the killer managed to flee,  law enforcement agencies are stepping up manhunt for him.

“I was told that a government soldier was killed by unknown gunman,” the source said. “Police are looking for him currently but he is nowhere.”

Another source said people among which is the victim were sitting in a tea shop when the killer opened fire against them saying the intention was unclear.

“He just opened fire and killed one person who was also siting there in [the tea shop]. We don’t know the motive, but the situation is calm” he said.

Authorities in Nasir could not be reached for comment.
