October 20th 2019 (Nyamilepedia) – South Sudan government said on Sunday that President Salva Kiir Mayardit and opposition leader Dr. Riek Machar will meet again and decide if they would delay gov’t formation.
This came after Machar echoed that the two may decide “to extend” the government formation beyond November 12th dateline.
The Presidency in a statement quoted government spokesman Michale Makuei Lueth as saying “the two parties will meet again to come out with the final decision on whether the transitional government of national unity will be formed or otherwise.”
An early meeting between Kiir and Machar was cut short because the President had to meet a UN delegation which is now in the country to meet the parties on peace implementation and especially the government formation.
