Governor Emmanuel Adil fires notorious Juba Mayor, Kalisto Lado

November 19,2021— The Governor of Central Equatoria State, Hon. Emmanuel Adil Anthony has fired the energetic Juba Mayor Kalisto Lado, who has been making headlines for months, from his position without installing his immediate replacement.

According to Derrick Derrickson, the official spokesman of the CES governor, mayor Kalisto Lado Faustino has been fired as town Mayor with immediate effect from today, November 18, 2021.

“Governor Emmanuel Adil Anthony has today issued a Gubernatorial Decree for the Relieve of the Mayor of Juba City Council(JCC),Central Equatoria State,2021 AD” Derrick said in a statement.

“A Gubernatorial Decree No.49/2021 for the Relieve of the Mayor of Juba City Council,H.W Kalisto Lado Faustino with immediate effect from today Thursday 18 November,2021”,the statement added.

According to Derrick, the successor of Mayor Lado will be announced in no time.

“Pronouncement for the incoming Mayor of Juba City Council shall be availed to the public domain as soon as possible”, the stated in a statement obtained by Nyamilepedia.

Governor Adil did not immediately mention the reason behind Lado’s removal from the post.

The outgoing mayor has proven fearless over the last four months as he takes on witchcrafts and business community concurrently.

Mayor Lado has been cracking down on those who practice witchcraft, arresting some and revealing their identities on social media.

The mayor has also been on the news for running a demolition campaign that demolished property of business community without compensations.

Mayor Lado has also tried to resolve the issue of land grabbing; however, he was met with an iron fist by those who occupy lands illegally.
