May 2nd 2019 (Nyamilepedia) –South Sudan government said on Thursday that a cantonment of a very hug VIP [Very Important Persons] protection force would be very difficult for the parties to manage on time given its high financial demands.
South Sudan’s main armed opposition group, SPLM-IO, led by the country’s former First Vice-President, Dr. Riek Machar, proposed this week the creation of a VIP protection unit that would be between 10-12 thousand men making up a whole army division.

“To be subjected through selection processes to be trained, deployed within the stipulated period of time will pose a huge logistical, financial, infrastructural and trained manpower challenges, as well as time,” he added.
