June 29th 2018 (Nyamilepedia) – A government driver who recently defected and accused the Petroleum Minister Ezekiel Lol Gatkuoth and the First Vice-President Taban Deng Gai of exploiting the resources of the country for themselves have been badly beaten in the Ethiopian capital Addis Ababa by suspected government operatives, the driver, Captain Simon Guor Gatwech told the Nyamilepedia this afternoon.

“I have been beaten almost to death by government operatives in Addis Ababa because I have decided to defect from them because they are not working for the interest of the people of South Sudan,” he said.

Last week, Guor Gatwech defected and said the staffs working as drivers in the Petroleum Ministry were not being payed but were only given incentives which do not cover all their expense at their house.

In April, the head of the drivers for the Minister of Petroleum defected and joined the main armed opposition under the leadership of Dr. Riek Machar Teny-Dhurgon accusing the First Vice-President and the Oil Minister of using the country’s resources to prolong the war.
