Global firm urges timely process on hybrid court for South Sudan

July 16th 2019 (Nyamilepedia) – An international advocacy firm has urged South Sudan’s government and the African Union (AU) to expedite the formation of the Hybrid Court on South Sudan war crimes.

The Global Centre for the Responsibility to Protect (GCR2P), an international and advocacy firm, has stressed in an updated annual reports on the countries facing political and military turmoil that the establishment of the court will bring to book perpetrators of war.

“The AU and the government should expeditiously establish the Hybrid Court and ensure buy clomid online 100mg that it has the resources to investigate and prosecute individuals responsible for mass atrocities,” the report partly read.

“All perpetrators of such crimes should be held accountable, regardless of their affiliation or position,” the report stressed.

On the extension of the pre-transitional period for another six months, the group urged the international community to exert much efforts to pressure the parties to the agreement to implement the agreement with no further extensions.

“The international community must continue to exert sustained diplomatic pressure on the parties to the R-ARCSS to ensure its full implementation following the postponement of critical deadlines,” it said.
