April 27th 2018 (Nyamilepedia) – Rebecca Nyandeng de Mabior, the widow of the SPLM founder John Garang de Mabior has accused the country’s president Salva Kiir Mayardiit of ignoring the suffering of the South Sudanese people criticizing the style of Kiir’s leadership.

Nyandeng on Thursday told the Radio Tamazuj that the speeches of the South Sudanese President were”irresponsible”.

“Kiir cares about his parameters only at J1 and it shows lack of responsibility,” she said criticizing the recent speeches of the president Salva Kiir who said he regrets sparing the life of the former First Vice President Riek Machar and the former detainees under the leadership of the former SPLM party Secretary General Pagan Amum Okiech adding that she is “sorry” that we have such presidents in South Sudan.

“I am not happy about what Kiir said. I am sorry because we have such a president in South Sudan. I am sorry,” she told Nyamilpedia.

Nyandeng urged the country to unite their ranks for the sake of the country and remove any leader who tells South Sudanese to exist along tribal lines.

“Leaders will come and go, so the people of South Sudan should not allow themselves to divide along ethnic lines by leaders. Any leader calling for South Sudan to exist as tribes must be removed. ” she said.
