January 13, 2021—South Sudan’s First Vice President, Dr. Riek Machar Teny, has sent condolences message on the passing on of one of senior lawmakers in the country.
On Tuesday, January11, 2022, Hon. Manoah Aligo, A Chief Whip in the Council of States passed away at 2:20 PM in Namibia Hospital in Kampala after long illness.
In a condolences message extended to Nyamilepedia, First Vice President Dr. Riek Machar Teny says Manoah Aligo was the longest-served political actor who devoted his entire life to the welfare of the country.
“.. Hon. Manoah Aligo was a veteran politician who devoted his entire life to welfare of South Sudan”, FVP Dr. Machar stated in a condolences message received by Nyamilepedia.
FVP Machar says Aligo will go down in history as a National figure who had wisdom on managing and handling national affairs.
“He will be remembered also for his wisdom in handling public affairs”, the statement added.
“On behalf of the SPLM/SPLA(IO) and on my own behalf and family, I wish to convey my deepest condolences to his family, relatives, friends and the entire people of South Sudan for this great loss”, FVP Machar lamented.
