Juba, South Sudan
October 30, 2021– the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation has announced this morning that it’s conducting entry exams for candidates enrolling into Foreign Service.
This restriction comes less than two months after the Information Minister and Government official Spokesman, Michael Makuei Lueth announced that they are students who obtained certificates through illegal means and said examinations will be made to prove that they really went through academic journey.
In a statement obtained by Nyamilepedia, the Press Unit of the South Sudan Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation states that the exam was given at least three full hours adding that those who succeeded in the written exam will go through oral exam.
“After this exam, candidates will proceed to the next level of oral interview as part of professional language assessment critical in Foreign Service”, the statement reads.
According to the statement, the Ministry wishes all the candidates good luck in their exams.
One of the candidates, who identified himself as Chol Deng, said the idea of examining the capacity of graduates before employment is a great idea and it reflects fairness and transparency.
” I really appreciate the idea because each of us will be selected based on what he did and that means no one will doubt the process because you will actually be given what you have done”, Deng told Nyamilepedia from South Sudanese capital Juba.
