Footage: SPLM-IO members seen fighting at a hotel

March 9th 2020 (Nyamilepedia) – Members of the Sudan People’s Liberation Movement in Opposition (SPLM-IO) have been seen in a latest footage fighting following a meeting at Pyramid South Sudan Hotel in the capital Juba.

This come almost a week after reports alleged that senior SPLM-IO members were involved in a fistfight at the hotel.

Despite the reports, SPLM-IO media officials denied the incident actually took place saying it was a misleading circulation by people whom they termed SPLM-IO enemies.

In the footage, SPLM-IO officials could be seen fighting at the hotel with unidentified women being pulled with her hair before being rescued.

Also, an unidentified could be seen being taken away to defuse the fighting.

Although the SPLM-IO continue to deny the incident, a senior opposition officials hinted at admitting it saying they were members of the SPLM-IO from Northern Bahr el-Ghazal state.

The incident comes at a time when reports were circulating also on social media of SPLM-IO political infighting over division of ministries and states allocated to the main armed opposition group by the revitalized peace agreement.
