Fighting near Mapel training centre kills at least two people

March 9th 2020 (Nyamilepedia) – Fighting between armed youth near a training centre in Mapel of Western Bahr el-Ghazal state has killed at least two people, government officials said this morning.

The fighting erupted after a businessman identified as Wol Madut Madol was killed triggering revenge from armed youth believed to be Madol’s relatives.

The fighting took place this morning. A trader called Wol Madut Madol was killed and his relatives mostly armed youth launched an attack,” an official in Wau said.
