Fighting Continues In Machar’s Hometown of Leer In Unity State

August 17, 2016(Nyamilepedia) —– Latest reports emerging from Unity State indicate that heavy fighting has continued in Machar’s hometown of Leer since the early morning of August 17th, 2016.

According to Weirial Puok Baluang, the official spokesman of the military governor of Unity state for the opposition, fighting broke out between the rival forces when SPLA-IG moved out in attempt to acquire more territories.

“Heavy fighting has been going on since morning up to now in and around Leer town between our forces SPLA-I.O and the government forces loyal to Salva Kiir.” Weirial said.

“This happened when gov’t troops and allied militias moved out and tried to gain more territories in the County.” he continued.

The spokesman confirmed that fighting has concentrated in and around Gatdoor, Pileny and Adok port, saying that their troops have repulsed attacks on their positions at Gatdoor and Pileny.

“The fights occurred in three different locations (Gaatdoor, Philieny and Adok port), Therefore, those who came through Gaatdoor and Philieny were badly defeated back toward the town and worth of it, they supplied our troops with the ammunitions.” Weirial said.

“Meanwhile, the fighting is ongoing up to now in the side of Adok port as our forces are trying their level best to make those unlucky one at the Port to drown in the River Nile after the road leading to Leer town was blocked at the bridge and Wulu by the Freedom fighters.” Weirial concludes.

Leer, being the hometown of Machar, has suffered many gruesome atrocities as government soldiers loyal to president Salva Kiir killed and gang raped elderly and teenage girls. Women caught in Leer have either been killed or taken for sex slaves by government militias.

In other reports, Machar has safely relocated to a neighboring country where he is expected to hold a press conference within the next two days.

IO, Freedom Fighters as you uphold to mission objectives serves the RoSS, and its citizens with the due respect and diligent.
Please Comrades, teach the kiir’s spla a big lesson so they keep on running in disarray to the hell, since they started to play with war skirmishes in your zone. Give them all their departure orders to kiir & malong, koul & malual ayom for.
