June 13th 2019 (Nyamilepedia) – Former South Sudan’s Petroleum Minister, Ezekiel Lol Gatkuoth, said on Thursday that he enjoyed working with President Salva Kiir Mayardiit a day after he was removed from his 3-year old job.

Kiir on Wednesday dismissed Gatkuoth and replaced him with the undersecretary in the ministry of Petroleum Daniel Awou Chuong.

In an appreciation statement issued on Thursday, Gatkuoth said he has been honored to work with the President for the last three years saying he enjoyed working with him.

“It has been a honour and privilege to have had this opportunity to serve as Cabinet Minister of Petroleum in the Transitional National Unity Government under your guidance and wise leadership,” Ezekiel wrote.

“During my three (3) years tenure as a Minister of Petroleum serving under your exemplary leadership, I greatly enjoyed working with Your Excellency because of your continued support, inspiring leadership, encouragements, guidances and directives to execute my duty I managed to resume productions of oil, increase production of oil, award two new Blocks to new Investors and more investors are interested to come and invest in our country,” he added.
