October 23, 2021—The Former Chairman of Bentiu Community in Arab Republic of Egypt, Mr. James Maker Gai has been promoted to the rank of Major General by Chairman and Commander-In-Chief of South Sudan People’s Movement/Army, Gen. Stephen Buay Rolnyang.
This comes after Gen. Gai is appointed as the National Chairperson of Humanitarian Affairs and Disaster Management in the movement.
In a statement extended to Nyamilepedia, Chairman of SSPM/A Gen. Stephen Buay Rolnyang promotes Brig. Gen. James Maker Gai to senior rank of Major General in the files and ranks of the South Sudan People’s Army.
“In exercise of the authority vested in me under article 52 (2) of the constitution of the South Sudan People’s Movement 2021 and SSPA Act article 12 (2), 2021, I, General Stephen Buay Rolnyang, Chairman and Commander-In-Chief of SSPM/A, do hereby promote Brig. Gen. James Maker Gai to the rank of Major General in the SSPA with effect from the date of above shield one (1) and his seniority falls after Major General Peter Dak Jock on SSPA above Shield one (1) officers list”, Gen. Buay stated in a statement extended to Nyamilepedia.
“This is in conformity with his new appointment as National Chairperson of Humanitarian Affairs and Disaster Management”, the statement added.
Speaking to Nyamilepedia from Egypt, the newly promoted General said he was very excited for his promotion and thank his Chairman and Commander-In-Chief Gen.Buay for that.
“It was with tremendous pleasure to me as national chairman for humanitarian to give thanks to C- in-C and at the same time promoting me as Major General , I can kindly tell my colleagues the quoted ward, no man is good enough to govern another man without that other,s concern great to be a member of this fruitful party”, James Maker told Nyamilepedia editorial member from Egyptian Capital, Cairo.
James Maker Gai was appointed last year as Chairman of Bentiu Community in Egypt but shortly after the end of his term he was appointed by Gen. Stephen Buay Rolnyang as the head of SSPM mission in Egypt.
