The newly appointed Ethiopia’s Ambassador to Sudan Yibtalal Amero confirmed Ahmed’s stay for a day in Khartoum, Suna News Agency disclosed.
The diplomat Amero said in statements to the press that during a meeting with the Head of the Sovereign Council of Sudan, Lieutenant General Abdul Fattah Al-Burhan, he expressed his satisfaction for the PM’s interest in the neighboring State to strengthen Sudanese-Ethiopian relations.
According to reports, Ahmed’s stay occurs when Egypt, Sudan and Ethiopia have been assessing points of the filling and exploitation of the known Great Dam of the Ethiopian Renaissance, an issue that caused disagreements among these three States since the beginning of the construction of the reservoir.
