November 30, 2021—Egyptian authorities announced its first brand of drones, manufactured and assembled in Cairo, the first of its kind in the continent.
In a statement seen by Nyamilepedia, Egypt on Monday announces its drones at the EDEX 2021 exhibition for military industries held in Cairo.
“Today, during the EDEX 2021 exhibition for military industries held in Cairo Egypt announced that it had manufactured 100% locally made drones with Egyptian hands” the statement reads.
According to the statement, Egypt also announced during the international exhibition that it had manufactured frigates, tanks, armored vehicles, automatic weapons and self-propelled rockets.
Two years ago, Rwanda announced its first locally manufactured Mobile phone in Africa with attempts on drones; however, the recently announced Egyptian drones looks more ready for the industry.
