Dr. Lam Akol denies a statement attributed to him on social media

Dec 12, 2020(Nyamilepedia) — The Leader of the National Democratic Movement, Dr. Lam Akol, has denied a statement that has been trending on social media under his name.

The fake Statement, which is being attributed to Dr. Lam but circulated by supporters of Duer Tut Duer, claims that Dr. Lam has said there is no peace in South Sudan but a government of friends and others.

Dr @akol_lam, there is no government in South Sudan. What we have is the government of friendship, cousins, husband and wife, In laws and side chicks. The citizens of this nation has suffered enough and they should rise up and calls for the removal of president kiir and VP Riek.”

Although the content does not reflect the handwriting of Dr. Lam Akol, the fake statement made its ways around on social media both on twitter and Facebook, forcing Dr. Lam to come out to deny it.

Although it is yet to be confirmed who wrote it and why, the statement was being circulated by some young South Sudanese individuals with unknown motives.
