January 15th 2019 (Nyamilepedia) – The SPLM-IO Chairperson of National Committee for Security and Defense, Angelina Teny, who is also the wife of the SPLM-IO leader Dr. Riek Machar Teny, said on Monday that it will be unfair if the people continue to die after the signing of the peace agreement.

South Sudan President, Salva Kiir Mayardiit and prominent opposition leader Dr. Riek Machar Teny signed a peace agreement in September last year after a frustrated regional and international community threaten to impose sanctions “on those jeopardizing peace process” in South Sudan. .

In an interview with the Miraya Radio on Monday, Teny said it is high time for the suffering of the people of South Sudan to stop given the fact that there is already a peace agreement in place.

“It is high time that this suffering ends and this suffering will end with the implementation of the peace agreement,” Teny told Sani Martin of the UN Miraya Radio.

She further said it would be unfair if the people of South Sudan to die while there an agreement in place between the parties involved in the South Sudan’s ongoing conflict.

“I believe if people continues to die it will be very unfair because there is an agreement that have been signed.”
