April 5th 2019 (Nyamilepedia) – South Sudan President, Salva Kiir Mayardiit, has been told by his Ugandan counterpart, Yoweri Museveni, that the colonial boundaries are the best option for the country over the states dispute.

Kiir on Thursday paid a brief state visit to Uganda over issues pertaining to the implementation of the peace agreement signed in August with opposition groups last year.

Also, among the issue discussed during the Thursday meeting I’m Entebbe includes the reunification of the ruling SPLM party which fractures in December 2013.

Museveni told President Kiir that being from a given state doesn’t matter because it will change being poor.

“It does not matter what state you are in. It won’t change much if you are poor. What is important is to work towards eradicating poverty and improving your income,” he said.

South Sudan parties are expected to form a unity government of thirty-six months next months as part of a peace agreement signed in September last year by the government and several opposition groups to end the ongoing civil war.
