“The Centre for Peace and Justice (CPJ), Condemned in strongest terms possible the violence in Boma State and cattle raiding of 450 cows and killing of innocent souls on an attack launched by Kapoeta State individuals,” said a state issued by the CPJ’s Advocacy officer, Gatphan Wichar.
He added that the attack is a tragic violation of human rights of an individual’s and it needs to be investigated so that victims get justice.
“I call on both governments of Boma and Kapoita States to cooperate and launch a joint investigation committee to look at the matter and report back to the two states accordingly,” he said.
“I call on the national governments to intervene and should the state governments fail to find an amicable solution to the violence of cattle raiding,” he added.
