June 11, 2020(Nyamilepedia)  — Represented by an ambassador to South Sudan, Hua Ning, Chinese government donates medical essentials to the government of South Sudan today, June 11, 2020.

The good-will gesture arrived at a time the bilateral relationship between China and South Sudan was boiling down over a poorly constructed Juba-Bhar el Ghazal Highway that has now been put to hold.

The Chinese government has donated 5,000 protective suits, 15,000 facemasks, 100, 000 surgical masks, 5,000 protective goggles, 5,000 gloves and 834 packets of diagnostic kits.

Speaking to media, the Chinese ambassador, Hua Ning, promised that Beijing will continue to support South Sudan and other African countries to battle the global pandemic that originated from Wuhan, China.

“This latest donation demonstrates the Chinese government’s and people’s commitment to supporting African countries’ efforts to contain COVID-19,” Hua said.

“With joint efforts by the international community and the government of South Sudan, we would be able to build a global health system for all,” the Chinese envoy said.

Represented by the Undersecretary in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Mayen Dut Wol, South Sudan appreciates China for standing up to help the poor African nation during one of her toughest times in her short history.

“The government and people of South Sudan are happy for the Chinese people and government because they have been standing with us in all difficulties. We will register this donation as one of the achievements of our relations,” Wol said.

Despite criticism and cold war between China and the USA, Chinese have won South Sudan’s government trust and China gets most of the oil and construction contracts which makes up at least 5% of the Chinese economy.

Latest reports from South Sudan’s J1 indicates that the Chinese have lost the 392 km project that was suppose to connects President Kiir’s Bahr El Ghazal Region to the Capital, Juba, Central Equatoria after Shandong Hi-Speed Group Corporation could not keep up with its promise.
