October 12, 2020 (Nyamilepedia) – The Chinese medical team in South Sudan spent the 71st anniversary of the founding of the People’s Republic of China at an orphanage center where they attended to orphans and provided them with medical assistance.
The team was led by the the head of the Chinese medical team in South Sudan, Wu Hua Guo.
Speaking to the media after the visit, Wu said they chosen to visit the orphanage to show their support and solidarity to the orphans and other needy populations in South Sudan, one of the world’s most volatile nations.
Wu pledges that the Chinese medical team will continue to support the orphans as much as they can to help them grow into healthy and better people in the future.
“We hope that they can have the confidence to overcome the difficulties of growing without parents and become better people in the future,” said the head of the Chinese medical team, Wu Hua Guo.
“We
will continue to pay attention to these children and provide help to these children as much as possible” he added.
Speaking after Wu, the Orphanage center’s Director, Angelo Kenyi, who manages a center that accommodates more than 60 orphans, appreciates the Chinese medical team for all their supports and sympathy.
“We are grateful to the Chinese medical team because since they arrived in South Sudan, they have been visiting these children to spend time with them,” Angelo said.
The 71st anniversary marks the founding of the People’s Republic of China and it is observed on October 1 every year.
The largest military parade and mass pageant in Chinese history of these national celebration was held last year, October 1, 2019 and the next largest is expected to be held during the 75th anniversary.
