CES Governor Emmanuel Adil pleges to boost print media industry

Oct 29, 2020(Nyamilepedia) — The Governor of Central Equatoria State, Hon. Emmanuel Adil Anthony, has unveiled plans to boost the print media industry together with other relevant national institutions in the country.

Governor Adil revealed this development while meeting with the editorial team of “the Witness Newspaper,” a daily English newspaper on market currently.

Hon. Adil also appreciated the tremendous efforts exerted by the newspaper in their wider publication which are both political, social, economical and sporitcal in nature.

Governor Adil further urged the team to continue upholding to their core values of accuracy and reliable information based medium to all the people across the state adding that the newspaper should also be a news outlet that transforms the society on various aspects especially in this critical period of COVIDE-19 pandemic and the implementation process of the the revitalized peace deal.

Meanwhile on his part,the Editor in chief of the daily English witness newspaper, Mr.Micheal Koma expressed their readiness to work closely with the state government in availing wider publication for the state government activities across the state to make citizens aware of the government policies and activities for an informed decision making.

Mr. Micheal also briefed Governor Emmanuel on some of the challenges encountering the print media in the country and media related hurdles facing the media fraternity in the country.
