BREAKING: Sudan’s ruling junta arrests Yasir Arman

June 5th 2019 (Nyamilepedia) – The ruling Sudanese Transitional Military Council (TMC) has arrested SPLM-North deputy Chief Yasir Arman, sources have confirmed.

Arman who returned to Khartoum few days ago was arrested in the morning hours of Wednesday to a member of the Freedom and Change group.

“He was arrested this morning by the Sudanese security apparatuses. We call on the Council to release him and hand power to a civilian government,” the opposition source told the Nyamilepedia.

Last week, Arman revealed that he was asked several times by the Council to leave the country or face arrest.

The Council spokesman Shams Al-dina Kabashi decline to respond to a request for confirmation by the Nyamilepedia.
