Oct 22, 2020(Nyamilepedia) — A South Sudanese diplomat collapsed and died instantly this afternoon at the Kenya Commercial Bank (KCB) Moi Avenue branch in Nairobi.
The South Sudanese ambassador, who is suspected to have died of heart attack or stroke, collapsed today, Thursday Oct 22, 2020 in the Kenyan capital, Nairobi.
According to KCB officials, the diplomat was identified as Michael Nyang Jock, the South Sudan Ambassador to Eritrea. He died at the age of 66 year old.
Speaking on the scene, a Kenyan police from the Central Police Station, said Amb. Nyang complained of having difficulties breathing before he collapsed and died.
In a statement, the KCB confirmed that “a customer at our KCB Advantage Branch, Moi Avenue, Nairobi, collapsed and died this afternoon during a visit to the branch.”

The report also indicates that the KCB has closed down the branch and will inform customers when they resume operation.
“We encourage our customers to visit our other Advantage Centres or use alternative banking touchpoints such as cash recyclers, ATMs, cash deposit machines, Mobi, KCB M-Pesa, Vooma and internet banking.” Part of the report reads.
The statement confirmed that relatives of the deceased were informed and came immediately.
His body was taken to Lee Funeral Home.
The South Sudanese diplomat came in a South Sudan vehicle that was parked on site in a parking lot nearby while the official tried to bank.
The vehicle was driven away thereafter by someone believed to be a relative or a bodyguard.
