September 9th 2018 (Nyamilepedia) – South Sudan’s Northern Liech State Governor, Dr. Nguen Manytuil Wejang has survived an assassination attempt following an incident in the state capital Bentiu when a group of an unknown assailants throw a hand profeled grenade on his car, several sources have told the Nyamilepedia.
The incident, one source said, occured at 7:30 PM between Juba’s Round About and Gudele town following a service there in which the governor meet Unity States local authorities living in the capital Juba.
“The incident occured at 07:30PM Bentiu local time. The governor was attacked while comign back from a service conducted in the neiborhood of the Gudele neiborhood of Juba,” the source said.
“The Northern Liech Government condemn in the strongest term possible the perpetrators of the attempted assassination of Dr Manytuil Wejang, Governor of Northern Liech state -Bentiu,” the soucre added.
The incident, the source further added happens when an unknown car come close to the Governor entourage (VIP car) and throw a live grenade which exploded breaking through the car metallic body.
