July 30, 2016(Nyamilepedia) —– South Sudan’s capital, Juba, is engulfed in waves of fear as soldiers loyal to president Salva Kiir begin to arrive in the capital in large number.

According to inside reports, the army has lost some of its strongholds to army loyal to First Vice President, Riek Machar Teny, outside the capital with the last few days.

For the last two weeks, South Sudan army has been battling the armed opposition in an attempt to push Riek Machar’s men away from Juba, however, evidence indicates that the army is weakened as young fighters begin to look for alternatives.

Eyewitnesses from the United Nations compounds in Juba report a high influx of civilians seeking refuge in UNMISS protection sites within the last 48 hours.

According to Mabior Garang de Mabior, who spoke on BBC yesterday, their positions outside the capital have been on constant attacks by troops loyal to Salva Kiir but their army (SPLA-IO) continued to observe ceasefire agreement while hoping for a third party force to be deployed in Juba before their leader returns to his residence.

According to James Gatdet Dak, the spokesperson of Dr. Riek Machar Teny, SPLA in opposition has captured 21 military trucks full of ammunitions, food and other supplies from the government side.

“Our forces are doing great in self-defence against the attacking forces loyal to President Salva Kiir. Our forces have captured 21 military trucks with their logistics, including food belonging to enemy forces. Juba is besieged from different directions as we speak.” Gatdet states a few minutes ago.

The Press secretary calls on the region to begin deploying a third party force within the capital before their soldiers are forced to “act further”

“We call for the deployment of the proposed third force in Juba, or else we will be forced to act further and march to Juba in order to restore peace and security in the capital,” Gatdet said.

Gatdet believes that the army has lost many lives in an attempt to pursue his chairman for the last three weeks.

“It is unfortunate that lives of soldiers are being wasted in the forests around Juba as hundreds are reported to have been killed on the side of the enemy forces for the past two days” he continued.

Residents of Terekeka and Luri have confirmed renewed fighting in approximate distance from the capital within the last two days.

On July 27, the SPLA in Opposition reports having captured over 200 government troops who failed into their ambush in Bereka county, West of Juba.

South Sudan government is yet to response to the latest changes in the security situation in the capital, however, many foreign nations have evacuated their citizens from South Sudan.

Tolio, No room for assumptions, lies and hypocrisy here.Only the strongest would survive this war.It is a tit for tat ..We were only 1370 in Juba last two weeks and we resisted for almost a week. Now the scenario will be different because we had got immunations and other logistics equipments from your thuggery regime’s cowardih soldiers …The war is not quantities of soldiers but quality ..your Mathiang Anior are primitives with shallow brains and knows only how to loot, kill innocent civilians and rape weak women.Bring your ass to the battle field if you manage to survive then you will have a chance a chance to go and tell how many we are, whether we’re equipped or not otherwise shot up your filthy mouth and never comment on this media.Folish jieng chin nom.

By making threats of marching to Juba, he is hoping the UN and AU will start panicking and quickly send a third party to his rescue.

Riek Machar is trying to go back to Fangak. He said he would match to Juba as a diversion for his departure, using empty routes which the government soldiers may have left behind in attempt to fortify Juba.

Reply
Tolio July 30, 2016 at 10:25 am

The SPLM-IO controls no major town and it is the reason anyone should believe their matching to Juba is an empty threat and if it is real, that will be suicidal.

M7 is wise to advise Kiir, Malong & Jaang Council to not object to regional intervention forces as an alternative to maintaining their grips on power. Predictably their fighters are deserting them for UN’S protection camps. Uganda’s updfs are too expensive for Kiir, Malong & the Jaang Council to outsourced to fight in South Sudan.

Good enough Dr Riek had a reward in second war of J1 and Mr James Gatedet Dak is in Kenya as a refuge still supporting unknow leader. So u need to Know if Riek killed his son, no nuer will remaind & we shall finish them all & remember Juba still Juba forget about Un, Igad , Au intervention, just u & l , idiot.

The traitorous and Coward Dinka militias of Malong are non-battle tested and have zero chance in hell of facing the mightiest and the bravest freedom fighters–SPLA-IO diehard troops of the patriot, Dr. Riek Machar Teny Dhurgon. The captured of Juba by Dr Riek’s freedom fighters is imminent. Unless, AU immediately send third party forces that would act as a buffer zone between killer nyankiir’s militias and Dr Riek’s freedom fighters period

Gatdarwich,

What I mean is.. it is not necessary to wait for the regional intervention. what the Oppsitions lacks in diplomatic arena must be improvise for in sheer man power and combat before that man power is exhausted by Jaang one man at a time. Start with soft targets capture every single one of them and move on to Bhar El Gazal after you reach there you make it clear that you are there to stay and this is where talks, diplomacy or whatever politic the Jaang wishes to entertained can be gladly. Anything less is not acceptable if you want real peaceful co-existence. The every other tribe specially the Nuers soon will wish they have decided against Jaang as I suggested, mark my words

Among everyone who commented, Gatnor nailed the issue at hand. Gatmchar need to man up. For peace to prevail and for anyone to listen to him, he got be tough and react militarily to what is happening. So, the world know that Taban has backing of the opposition forces.

If the military remain silent, he will try to fool the international community that he has backing of IO forces as he already claimed. It has been many days now without strong reaction from IO forces.

Dr riek is a man of peace unlike the dictator and a killer salva who doesnt have the pain of his nationals. And that is why he (riek) is advocating for third force of UN not coz he can be defeated by salva and his arrongant and hungry dinka soldiers most of you are not here when they fought recently i witnes the whole thing and for sure they(IO)are too brave and strong for govt. Let us advocate for peace not war. We are killin our own people not terrorist. Just shame on our leaders

Those are the sequences, of war let them keep on abandoning their strong holds. I urge my brothers from IG to surrender be4 the situations is deteriorated . Please eradicate that attitudes of shouting on the social media that you wanted to pursue IO . That is very inert India so now you are loosing an important weaponry to the IO and yet claiming that you are insisting The solution will be gain through barrels . Juba is now engulfed in all directions .No entrance and exits .

Channel O,
please worry about all the dinka widows and orphans that are created by this war. Nuer are fighting a just war. A sacrifice must be paid to get rid of evil. Your concern my friend should be your dead jaang that are dying for aimless/unattainable objective of being dominance. No country on earth with many different tribes can be rule by one tribe. That doesn’t happen and will not be allow in South Sudan by all mean.

Riek machar has lost his son and that he want to lost the life of other remaining Nuer because nothing left for him and you are still supporting him, you nuer do you mean Riek is the only man in your community or is only educated why he ran to bush barked like dog and failed to make his action by that time , talking by mouth without cann’t support by which mean he will come to capture juba while he failed to did it that time , don’t say the soldiers that had been killed are only 300 this is only only j1, but over 800 has been kill by government forces in jebel (checkpoint) and Gudele , the stay there for more than two days without being , so you talk about peace but don’t push your people to fire in social media i appreciated peter for his comment even though he had touch me .

As the two sides are fighting in South Sudan, we too are having a cold war in the comments section.

We are the future of South Sudan, can we please have objective comments. Fine, both sides are pointing fingers at each other for starting the fighting, but that’s all useless. all we need now are solutions to the fighting, not solutions to who started the fighting.

Cheers… Wanted
