Mar 10th 2018(Nyamilepedia) – In a press statement received by the Nyamilepedia, the main opposition leader’s wife said she has “a special heartfelt recognition and salute to the South Sudanese women whose struggles for survival in a devastating war to attain decent living for themselves and their families can only be described as extra-ordinary”
In a show of solidarity to regional and international women, Teny said “We stand in solidarity with our Nigerian sisters who are struggling to get back their girls from captivity, the Syrian sisters, Central African Republic and DR Congo. They deserve not only respect but also recognition for their courage to continue to stand up against the cruelty of war and senseless terroristic acts without compromising their dignity”.
The International Women’s Day (WD) is celebrated on the 8th of March every year since it was adopted by the United Nations in 1975 after having been previously celebrated by the Socialist Women first in the United States and in the former Soviet Union. South Sudanese women, like their counterparts from the other countries, celebrated the International Women’s Day on Friday.
Teny, in the press statement , went on to praise African women saying she is “proud to highlight the gains that the African women have achieved during the last two decades. We have had women Presidents and Rwanda leads the way with close to 50-50 gender participation as per the AU agenda and the UN 2030 agenda, particularly impressive considering the horrific genocide the country has emerged from. African women are Ministers of Defence, Foreign Affairs, Attorneys and they are mediating conflicts around the continent”. The statement added that “It is therefore appropriate to use this occasion to call for an end to the war in South Sudan and encourage women from Africa and from around the globe to join efforts to bring peace”
“I will cast my stone, please cast yours and in no time your sisters and their children will have the peace they have been yearning for, for the last five years” Angelina Teny who also serves as the SPLM-IO Chairperson of Security and Defense promised as she concludes her statement.

Dear Angelina, thanks you so much for the remark you gave, and I thought it was a thoughtful remark a someone as you can give. Yes, believe is a personality character as I follow your talk in Australia when you were meeting with South Sudanese there. You said ”people tend to say that I am a strong woman but it was not because of that, it is because of what I believe” that seem to be my strength. Again echoing this remark, it is very much inline with what you just said recently or on top. What you believe is what take you to the bush and still facing challenges in foreign land, because of the people who do not support it or agree with you base on their philosophies. Your saying, I am very much pleased by it because you echo others suffering nations as well. Although you are the most person who is in danger all the times, you do not try to remind people that the most person in danger is me and my house, even though they all knew it from the start. Yes, indeed, it is my insight that your believe is not an emptied one and will not be in vain. As The Living One give me a meaning to serve you in the future as my own and as even now. I wish, I can give you an insight of what you believe in, it does not come from people’s philosophy but The One you trust. Do not waver then, even if you can live among the foreign nations take that as a lesson to be learned. I am still on watch about this issue.
