Feb 22, 2016(Nyamilepedia) — Report from Malakal’s protection site indicated that the violence that started on Wednesday night, continued to through Thursday and Friday 19th of February 2016 was “sponsored by elements of government as an obstacle to the implementation of peace deal signed in August 2015,”stated one of the angriest IDPs in Malakal’s camp. According to the source that preferred anonymity, two government soldiers in civilian clothes tried to make their way inside UNMISS protection site, they were checked only to be found carrying magazines. When the fighting erupted between the Dinka and the Nuer youth, supported by SPLA government’s soldiers under the direct of the Dinka commander against the Shilluk and Nuer youth, the two government soldiers entered the camp were arrested and detained.
Little did the Shilluk and Nuer youth know about the secret armament of the Dinka civilians by the government soldiers who also evacuated their women and children secretly earlier that morning from their PoC sites in Malakal. The Shilluk and the Nuer youth were surprised with live bullets and grenades against their bare hands. 18 people were confirmed dead, humanitarian agencies on the ground such as MSF confirms the same figures. But a reliable source from inside reveled that that number is only from the Nuer tribe leaving many in shock of the overall number that may appear when everything is calm.
That wasn’t the end though, at 1:00 pm Local time, a Toyota land cruiser full of well-equipped soldiers and military Tank emerged and reinforced their armed civilians and some soldiers in civilian’s clothing who already had the upper hands and made sure that the unfired tents be burned to ashes. That was when RPGs and number of hand grenades were launched, scattered lives and burned everything to ashes including children and elderly men and women who couldn’t make it out of their beds. UNMISS soldiers from Ethiopia reacted against that inhuman act but were ordered not to engage until they are ordered for direct engagement, leaving everyone with unanswerable question of when are the rules of engagement applied by the UNMISS authorities if infants and elderly people could be slaughtered at their watch?
General, Mr. Johnson Gony Biliew, government commander in charge of the government Upper Nile State since the ongoing war broke out and who also from Nuer tribe, was unaware of the well-coordinated Dinka plan of attacking the Nuer and Chollo PoC sites. Gony’s trusted Dinka soldiers kept on telling him that it is a civilian against civilian fist fight. Several IPDs who didn’t hide their anger towards the murderous government asserted that Gen. Johnson Gony wouldn’t react differently even if he knew about the plan because Nuer PoC site in Malakal has been attacked by the same soldiers repeatedly before and he never acted against such attacks nor did he condemn the perpetrators.
After so many innocent lives lost; more than 80 Shilluk soldiers on the Government side, who observed that the plan was mischievous but prevented by their top command to react by protecting their civilians, defected and joined the SPLM/A in Opposition led by Dr. Riek Machar Teny. The fear in Malakal is so high that the Shilluk youth groups will attack Malakal in a rescue mission to take away the Shilluk helpless IDPs stranded in the city to Cholloland, and the Nuer could do the same.

The concluding remarks that the collo and Nuer youth may attack the town to evacuate their citizens from from PoC Site is not far from the truth. given their frustration from UN failure to provide protection and the rumors being circulated the government intends to use chemical weapons against the IDPs as well as against the opposition forces around Malakal.
Chollo and Nure must do something about it otherwise more attack is going to a happen again.
Of course, Nuer, and Shulluk together need to works in order to rescues those residue of Dinka in POC. It is actually obvious the whole Malakal will be full of suspicion and totally unsafe from that massacre day on under Chol Thon the mastermind killer.
We also expected the direct intervention of international community and its allies. As the part of victim’s families, the last option for UN and its allies is either relocated the remaining victims of both Nuer and Shulluk in that traumatized POC or armed them to be like Dinka because Hyenas should protect sheep or goats.
where there is no government the civil population should take initiative to protect themselves against enemies, and of course we cannot relax or take it simply Dinka means it to cleanse those who refuse their leadership out of south sudan,my advice to shollo and nuer is to stand firm against the enemy of peace and to bring back south sudan from the path that is why the weak try in south sudan shall live freely
The carnage at the UNMISS camp in Malakal was undeniably planned, supervised, and executed by none rather than the traitorous Jenge,Thon Chol, the pseudo Governor of Malakal period
the issue of Malakal should NOT be Left for Chollo and Nuer Alone, the issue MUST be a really concerned of all the Tribes in South Sudan which Dinkas are tried by all means the Terrorize them in order just to keep their Dinka Leader to Brutally Ruling ethnic and Traditional System which will Never Ever be Tolerated and acceptable by all means in what ever courses.
