By Dr. Henry Jembi,
July 11, 2016(Nyamilepedia) —– It has begun long time ago while the Sun shines in tropical rain forest of South Sudan and the twilight goes doom and darker behind the clouds of the South Sudan. It was on 16/05/1955 our fore parents had started to work for our rights and freedom. It’s not easy to obtain your rights and get your freedom unless you fight for them. These are years 1955, 1972, 1983, 2005, 2011, 2013 and 2016 that could be reflected upon while remembering South Sudan, which are the focal point in the history of South Sudan. We are still searching for peace and stability in South Sudan, which may take time to reach to our utopia. Newly born country is experiencing agonies, hardships and torment as a result of internal conflicts. Peace has been singed, Marcher has gone to Juba, TGoNU has been formed, what’s wrong again there is still war going on in South Sudan i.e. in Greater Upper Nile and Greater Bahr el Ghazal. What has gone wrong again with warring parties? Who is to be blame for that?
BLAMING ISN’T A GOOD ADVICE:
Who is to be blamed on issue of South Sudan? Who is to be accountable for the crisis of South Sudan? What do you think of South Sudan now experiencing inequities of the past? Should IG be blamed? Should IO be blamed? Should IGAD be blamed? Should Troika be blamed? Should South Sudanese be blamed? The first and the second parties are blaming each other, each is throwing blame on the other which is categorically mean both are stand still in their position, no one wants to be the champion of peace, healing, reconciliation and unity. IGAD is working for its own interest due to its incapability to address such tense issue, which above its knowledge and understanding. So it found itself a weak re-free and a spectator just watching the match being play by the two parties at wrong stadium and at wrong hours. TRIOKA likewise has become a supreme spectator using its advance technology to monitor who will win the match so that it could Standardized its position and swallowed its portion.
Peace from within is better from peace from outside. Domestic peace is easy going than external peace, which is hard to realize. Peace has nothing to do with exporting and importing because importing peace worth more than the exporting one. You can say yes today for whatever you like and think right, but tomorrow you will change you yes to no because you was sure whether the issue was of common interest or not. Next time don’t just hurry to say yes or no to whatever comes to your mind without pondering first on it impact. You need to tune to your heart in the first place. It’s a matter of fate and destiny which need caution and heed. Did you hear this: “When God created man, He did not consult him, but regarding salvation, He would not save him without consulting him?” This means that man has to work for his salvation otherwise. Policies in South Sudan don’t express our dreams and aspirations, political unity, social unity, economic unity, legal unity and security unity and unity in diversity, unity of interest, unity of solidarity and unity of sacrifice too.
UNITY AND DEFECTION AMONG THE LIBERATION MOVEMENTS:
Unity is the essence of liberation movement, without unity the liberation movement will never archive its aspiration and ultimate goal. We are all aware of the saying: “unity is strength”, in unity we can cover the journey easily, in unity we can support one another and care for one another. Unity is power and through this power we can meet our dreams both the near one and the far one. Defections ruin and weaken the liberation movement, if you defect without concert reasons you will loss strength and become weak as such you will archive nothing, but self-gain only. There is no liberation movement in this world which was established for personal interest initially. Defection is a disease and fatal epidemic in the liberation movements. Seeking for unity outside South Sudan is like seeking for water in the desert, we should rush in joining East Africa Community without research and studies. Which one is which? Historically, South Sudan was a member of the Arab League for ages, but nothing prevailed. The recent initiative toward joining EAC is so far illusive due to internal identity crisis. One thing is sure that Southerners are seeking where to fit themselves as free people. To be freed is determined by politics and leadership of the nation, what do people really want and like to be despite all the ups and downs in South Sudan politics and leadership concepts. As an Africa country, it will continue to suffer and experience torments and tribulations just because of its leaderships, politics and politicians. The Africa continent is innocent and rich, but its daughters and sons are wicked and evildoers to the extent that they event deserted it and decided to migrate the motherland.
AFRICA POLITICS ALWAYS REUINS AFRICANS:
Politics in Africa is still gloomy and backward geared, those who are concern with it are still thinking inside the box, inside the bedroom, inside the kitchen, inside the dining room and inside the laundry. So when shall we begin to think clockwise instead of anticlockwise? The politics of one step ahead and two steps behind is ruining African human power and natural resources. You cannot think of going ahead and at the same time thinking of stepping backward. Either forward or backward if we want to meet our development and total freedom. Politicians are the same all over.
They promise to build a bridge even where they are no river. ~Nikita Khrushchev. Those who think they can manage and control others are dreaming at noon. Let me remind you that many great leaders tried, but they failed to meet their aspirations and dreams to sabotage others as they thought. Now you are trying the same, please take heed and consider time factor, if you don’t know bear this in mind that in this world things are calculated according to their outcome and productivity. Politics is the art of looking for trouble, finding it whether it exists or not, diagnosing it incorrectly, and applying the wrong remedy. ~Earnest Benn.
South Sudan is full of all kind of troubles which are found nowhere in the world, trouble in the mind set, trouble, physical set, human perspectives and intuition, trouble in understanding visualization and trouble in the vision set. What do you think such a place could be? Overall, domestic identity crisis, which is politically triggered by the so called politicians and leaders of today, always causes bloodshed on the innocent people mainly soldiers and civilians.
