SOUTH SUDAN’S NEW ARMY CHIEF OF STAFF, GEN. GABRIEL JOK RIAK TO BE RELIEVED OF DUTY

By Nicholas Osobi

June 16th, 2018(Nyamilepedia) —– The infamous Jieng Council of Elders (faceless regime’s conclave) have come up with yet another security reform in the top army leadership, if effected, would see the current army chief of staff relieved of duties and replaced by some JCE puppet whilst the regime is devising out ways to ensure the prososed face to face meeting between Tribal president Salva Kiir and opposition leader Riek Machar does not materialize.

Sources privy to this secretive mission alleged that the Jieng Council of Elders and some members of presidential advisers held performance appraisals meeting early this week in an apparent move to derail the ongoing peace talks. Their resolve is that the position of army chief of staff is a colossal responsibility that requires highly experienced person and not young, inexperienced and sickly Gabriel Jok Riak. They therefore demanded for his immediate relief and replacement by yet to be identified person. There’s still dearth of information on how and when this reticent move will be actioned.

Our revolutionary source however contends that this scheme is not about competence as JCE have wished to frame it but rather a sinister ploy to derail the planned handshakes (imposed peace talks) between President Kiir and IO boss, Riek Machar which JCE fears would contravene their ambition of ruling the country forever.

The Jieng Council of Elders have a documented long-term plan dubbed “The Jieng Council of Elders’ Master Plan 2015” in which they have detailed how they (the dinkas) intend to rule South Sudan for 200 years. And to achieve this objective,it would require maintaining the status quo and avoid general election.

“As per our wishes, there should be no elections at all. For what benefit is it to hold general elections today? The general elections we held in the first place was because we wanted to end, now whom do we want to expel to necessitate the holding of general elections?”

(JCE Master Plan 2015, Pt 12).

By installing a new army chief of staff, the JCE also hopes to prompt political earthquakes with massive magnitude to shake off the peace deal latching by thread.

“Why would they [JCE] declare their own pick (acs) incompetent? That’s just a game intended to reignite violence and cause an all out war. That’s all!” Said the source.

It’s widely believed that the JCE masterminded the poisoning of the former army chief of staff, Lt Gen. James Ajongo and handpicked the incumbent because they were constantly in disagreement with him over military decisions. Ajongo would refuse any idea he deemed senseless from his illiterate bosses and advisers, e.g. deploying forces to peaceful liberated areas. It is therefore illogical that their very own pick in the person of Gabriel Riak can become incompetent in a blink of an eye if there was nothing sinister behind it.

And, if they must go on and try to actualize this scheme, the country would once again be thrown into bottomless pit of controversy as the world will question the means of his disposing him and the reasons thereof.
