June 26th, 2018(Nyamilepedia) —– Many South Sudanese have heard and read with shock the message coming from president Salva Kiir that he is not willing to work together with the SPLM/SPLA IO Chairman and Commander – in – Chief, Dr. Riek Machar. In life, you do not make peace with friends, but with enemies or people who do not agree with you.
Therefore, I would like to remind President Salva that if President De Klerk was to say that he did not want to work with Nelson Mandela, there would have been no peace in South Africa today. If President Omar Al Bashir of Sudan was to say he did not want to work with Dr. John Garang, there would have been no peace between Sudan and South Sudan today and No South Sudan independence. If President Uhuru Kenyatta was to say that he did not want to shake Hands with Raila Odinga, there would have been no peace in Kenya today.
Hence if President Salva loves South Sudan and it’s suffering people, he should be the first to welcome SPLM/SPLA IO Chairman and Commander in chief and be willing to work together, reconcile, forgive each other, apologize to each other for what happened in the past and make a united commitment to open a new page of love, peace, unity, rehabilitation and development.
The economy of South Sudan has collapsed, the South Sudan government has lost its legitimacy, war has intensified in all parts of South Sudan, more than four million people from South Sudan have become refugees and suffering in the neighbouring countries, many more are internally displaced, civil servants are no longer being paid regularly, education and health services have deteriorated badly and South Sudan has become a failed State. The solution to all these problems is to sign and implement genuinely lasting peace. I would therefore like to appeal to president Salva Kiir to accept to work together with Dr. Riek Machar for the sake of peace in  South Sudan.
