Oct 16, 2020(Nyamilepedia)“I decided to visit Sudan in January 1995 and took a flight from Istanbul to Khartoum in Sudan. It was my first visit to Khartoum and I knew that Osama Bin Laden and members of Al-Qaeda were guests in Sudan that time. I also knew that two Sudanese friends from the Afghan Jihad in the 1980s were back in Sudan so I called their company. That night, they came to my guesthouse to see me. We had a long conversation and they told me that many of my old Arab Mujahedin friends from Peshawar were in the city with Osama Bin Laden”.

Those were the words of Muhammad, a first generation Canadian Muslim from an Arab country who was visiting Khartoum, Sudan in 1995 where Al-Qaeda founder Osama Bin Laden and other Jihadists had relocated to following the end of the Soviet-Afghan War that lasted over nine years, from December 1979 to February 1989. During that war, Muhammad and other Muslims had flocked from all over the world into Afghanistan to assist fellow Muslims in fighting against the combined forces of the Soviet backed Afghan government of the time and the Soviet Army. They had congregated in Afghanistan as Mujahedin (Mujahideen), the plural form of Mujahid, a term for one engaged in Jihad which is understood to mean a struggle or fight against the enemies of Islam by various Muslims and the spiritual struggle within oneself against sin by others. Mujahedin is commonly known to refer to guerrilla fighters in Islamic countries fighting against non-Muslim forces. Afghan Mujahedin considered it a victory when the Soviet combatant forces withdrew from Afghanistan beginning on May 15, 1988 and ending on February 15, 1989. They saw the defeat of a superpower like the Soviet Union that had invaded Afghanistan a Muslim country as a victory for Islam. After their perceived victory in Afghanistan, many Afghan Mujahedin became emboldened and considered it their duty to move to other countries where they believed Muslims required assistance in winning Jihad against the enemies of Islam. One such country was Sudan where Osama Bin Laden and other Mujahedin moved to in 1992.

Through his autobiography, Muhammad recounted how the militant Islamist organization Al-Qaeda was established by Osama Bin Laden and others in Afghanistan in 1988 and flourished with the lawlessness that ensued after Afghanistan collapsed as a state in 1992 and terrorists roamed about uncontrolled. Various sources confirm that the collapsed and ungoverned state of Afghanistan became a sanctuary for the terrorist group and provided the environment for it to thrive, master mind and successfully execute the horrendous September 11, 2001 attack on the United States of America and other terror attacks around the world. These terror attacks continue to be directed at the Jewish Diaspora and Christians in particular but others in general. Muslims who oppose the maiming and killing of people in the name of Islam have now been added to the Jihadists’ list of people to target in attacks because these Muslims have a different interpretation of Jihad. They understand Jihad to mean spiritual struggle within oneself against sin and not terror attacks on others.

According to Muhammad and various sources, two years after the Soviet-Afghan war ended, Osama Bin Laden and many Jihadists who fought in the Soviet-Afghan war relocated to Sudan where war had continued between the predominantly Christian Black African Southern Sudan and the predominantly Arab and Muslim Northern Sudan. They felt that it was their duty to support and prop their brethren in Sudan in their fight to make the entire Sudan an Islamic state based on strict Shari’a.

After decades of a troubled relationship between a predominantly Christian Black African Southern Sudan and a predominantly Arab and Muslim Northern Sudan, war erupted between the two parts of Sudan in 1955. Supporters of the entire Sudan as an Islamic state based on strict Shari’a proclaimed Jihad against Christians in Southern Sudan. Dubbed the First Sudanese Civil War also known as the Anyanya Rebellion or Anyanya 1, this war morphed into an element of the Arab-Israeli Conflict when Israel took the side of the Southern Sudanese Black African Christians and began supplying them with weapons. The first war ended with the signing of a peace agreement on February 27th, 1972.

In 1983, war erupted again between the two parts of Sudan. Dubbed the Second Sudanese Civil War, the second war was waged by a collection of warlords who eventually organized themselves as the Sudan People’s Liberation Army also known as the SPLA. Purporting to free Southern Sudanese from a continuation of the issues that caused the First Sudanese Civil War in 1955, the Sudan People’s Liberation Army is alleged to have murdered, raped, robbed, looted and committed the most abhorrent forms of cruelty and human rights violations against the very Southern Sudanese they purported to be fighting to free. Sudan eventually split into the two separate countries of Sudan and South Sudan on July 9th, 2011. However, South Sudan has failed as a state because on December 15th, 2013, a third war erupted beginning with genocide of the same magnitude as the Rwandan genocide of 1994. The country has descended into unprecedented anarchy with the Sudan People’s Liberation Army destroying and burning everything in their path. They are now using rape as a weapon of war.

South Sudan has now become a global security threat and a highly likely location for planning another shocking September 11, 2001 terror attack because of its proximity to Sudan where pockets of determined diehard Jihadists still exist in large numbers as demonstrated by an online video of extremists who travelled from Sudan to Palestine a few weeks after South Sudan attained independence from Sudan, to incite the killing of Jews and Israelis. Many of the Jihadists are remnants of the Al-Qaeda training camps sponsored by Osama Bin Laden the former leader of Al-Qaeda when he lived in Sudan between 1992 and 1996. While there, he used his millions to organize Al-Qaeda training camps, wage global Jihad, sponsor terror attacks around the world and uninhibitedly support Sudanese Jihadists fighting the Sudan People’s Liberation Army. In 1996, Osama Bin Laden relocated to Afghanistan which had failed as a state and began master minding the horrendous September 11, 2001 attack on the United States of America.

Having failed as a state, South Sudan is progressing towards total collapse but that collapse must be stopped for the sake of the whole world because lessons abound around the world about collapsed states becoming breeding grounds for terrorists and aiding their propagation. Examples include Somalia, Afghanistan where the terrorist group Al-Qaeda was established in 1988, Libya, Iraq, Syria and others. A collapsed South Sudan poses an even greater danger because of its proximity to Sudan where pockets of the determined and diehard Jihadists who traveled to Gaza in 2011 to incite war against Jews and Israelis and others still exist. South Sudan is also the gateway to many African countries. Consequently, its penetration by terrorists who wish to make speedy inroads into the rest of Africa for purposes of ushering a worldwide Islamic Caliphate and inflicting terror on non-adherents will occur with relative ease and speed in a collapsed South Sudan. In other words, South Sudan has now become as lawless as the collapsed and ungoverned state of Afghanistan was when it became a sanctuary for Al-Qaeda and provided the environment for it to thrive, master mind and successfully execute the horrendous September 11, 2001 attack on the United States of America and other terror attacks around the world.

DUPED BY LUCIFER: THE STORY OF SOUTH SUDAN, A GLOBAL SECURITY THREAT is the abbreviated story of South Sudan offering contemporary content as well as an abridged history which starts in Egypt, a country that played a significant role in the formation of Sudan and South Sudan. The series doubles as a virtual conference and culminates in ordinary South Sudanese collaborating with various groups to rescue their collapsing country themselves. The series’ title is derived from the fact that the Sudan People’s Liberation Army, the so-called liberation movement duped the entire world when its members presented themselves as angels of light and liberators fighting for the right to practice Christianity in a predominantly Muslim Sudan among other rights but turned out to be criminals, disciples and agents of Lucifer, another name for Satan.

Learn about efforts to interrupt terrorists from using the failed and collapsing state of South Sudan as a location for planning and launching another shocking September 11, 2001 terror attack by following the series.

Partial proceeds from the series are used for alleviating suffering arising from war related sexual violence. Segments are added to the series as the South Sudan Story progresses.
