May 18, 2020 (Nyamilepedia) – Coronavirus cases in South Sudan have surpassed 300 after 57 more people tested positive on Monday, a senior health ministry official said in a statement this evening.
Dr. Makur Koryiom, the undersecretary of South Sudan’s ministry of health said 57 people – almost all are South Sudanese – tested positive bringing the total number of the cases to 347.
He said two more people have died bringing the total number of fatalities to six (6) adding that the number of recoveries remained at four (4) as no new recoveries have been recorded by the ministry of health.
“Fifty-seven (57) people have tested positive and two more have died. So, we have 347 cases and six deaths as well as four recoveries,” he said during a statement to South Sudan Broadcasting Corporation (SSBC).
