February 3rd 2019 (Nyamilepedia) – The National Democratic Movement (NDM) led by Dr. Lam Akol Ajawin said on Saturday that it is dismayed by the role being played by the South Sudan government in dividing the fractured South Sudan Opposition Alliance (SSOA).

In November last year, an election held in the Sudanese capital Khartoum threatened to ruin the SSOA unity after its leader Gabriel Changson Chang decided to suspend election results which portrayed Gen. Peter Gatdet as winner to replace him.

In a communique issued on Saturday from the Sudanese capital Khartoum following a meeting of the National Leadership Council, the NDM accused South Sudan government of trying to divide the SSOA.

“The Council noted with dismay the attempts by the regime in Juba to divide South Sudan Opposition Alliance (SSOA) cautioning that such moves are bound to impact negatively on the implementation of the Peace Agreement,” it said.

“The Council stressed that all Parties to the Peace Agreement must display strong political will and commitment to implement the Agreement fully in letter and spirit,” the communique added.
