BREAKING: SPLA-IO Captures Ombachi To ‘Improve Humanitarian Access’

Nov 1st, 2017(Nyamilepedia) —— After heavy fighting in Ombachi of Yei River State, the SPLA in Opposition under the overall command of Lt. Gen. Wesley Welebe Samson, a deputy chief of staff of SPLA-IO, has accepted responsibility.

Lt. Gen. Welebe Samson explained that his troop had to launch an attack on Ombachi to improve humanitarian services in areas like Lasu where many civilians have fled to but denied humanitarian access by Salva Kiir’s regime.

According to Lt. Gen. Welebe the attack was launched at 7am this morning and a few hours later the government troop in Ombachi were defeated.

“THE GALLANT SPLA/M IO FORCES UNDER THE DIRECT COMMAND OF LT. GENERAL WESLEY WELEBE SAMSON, TODAY NOVEMBER 2, 2017 AT 7:00 A.M, ATTACKED AND CAPTURED OMBACHI TOWN AND ENTIRE PAYAM  IN YEI RIVER STATE, AFTER THE SOUTH SUDAN GOVERNMENT SECURITY DENIED RELIEF FOOD AND OTHER HUMANITARIAN ITEMS TO BE TAKEN TO CIVILIAN  POPULATION  AT  L ASU  PAYAM IN YEI RIVER STATE.DETAILS OF THE OPERATION WILL FOLLOW SOON.” Lt. Gen. Welebe said

Gen. Welebe believes that such victory meant something for the displaced populations who have no access to humanitarian services in their hiding.

General Welebe also explains in his other article why the people of Greater Mundri had to pick up arms against Salva Kiiir’s regime.
