EQUATORIANS SHOULDN’T WAIT FOR DR. RIEK MACHAR TO COME AND GET RID OF THE DEADLY SNAKE AT THEIR BACKYARD, SAYS A FORMER ANYANYA ONE VETERAN, SERGEANT PAGA DRIGA.

February 04, 2017(Nyamilepedia) —— Although Equatorians are obsessed with a belief that one day Riek Machar will come and deliver them from the misery imposed upon them by the tribal regime of Salva Kirr, a former Anyanya one veteran, sergeant Paga Driga sees this as delusion of the highest level that must not be entertained, and he couldn’t hide his frustration when speaking to our revolutionary desk.

The retired sergeant, now in his 70s, says he cannot comprehend why the equatorians want virtual solutions to real problems.

In 2 hours’ interview, the former sergeant outlines some strategies which he said would send the cows (Jiengs) out of Equatoria once and for all without waiting for the exiled C in C, Dr. Riek Machar from South Africa. Below are the recaps of our interview:

Nicholas Osobi: Sergeant, it is a great honour meeting you. My name is Nicholas Osobi, am a revolutionary columnist.

Sergeant: Osobi, why call me a sergeant when they even disregard my potentials? They think am too old fight.

Nicholas Osobi: Indeed, I can see you have the zeal and energy.

Sergeant: They don’t want to give me some forces to command. I am still strong and capable of commanding battles and my regiment wouldn’t lose.

Nicholas Osobi: Sure, sergeant! In fact, the purpose of today’s meeting is to get your views on the current crisis. It looks like Equatoria is in a state of limbo. A lot of things are going on and with no apparent endings. What is your view on the current situation?

Sergeant: Yes, you have said it all. There’s no solution to it. Equatorians want it that way.

Nicholas Osobi: Why do you think there’s no solution to it?

Sergeant: Equatorians are still waiting for their virtual leader Dr. Riek Machar to return from exile (S.Africa). Do we even know when or if he will ever be released? We have deadly snake at our backyard but we want an alien to come and get rid of it.
Nicholas Osobi: But Riek Machar is not an alien. He is the commander in chief of IO.

Sergeant: A commander in chief who commands from exile, Osobi?

Nicholas Osobi: Thank you Mr. sergeant. As you have mentioned earlier on that there’s a snake at the back yard, what capacity do Equatorians have to be able to get rid of this snake?

Sergeant: This tribal regime cannot sustain simultaneous attack. If we can engage their forces in various places within days or weeks our backyards will be free from snakes.

Nicholas Osobi: Don’t forget the regime has Uganda’s backing. Do you have the capacity to handle them you think?

Sergeant: In 2013, about 9 trucks full of bodies of Ugandan soldiers were returned to Uganda in coffins, what sort of capacity are you after? The issue is that Equatorians have stopped thinking for reasons best known to them. Meseveni has a lot of trouble. I don’t want to tell you what is going to happen to him but I can assure you that Ugandans have become wiser this time. They won’t allow him to keep dragging them through prickles forever.

Nicholas Osobi: Sergeant, one final question; if you have an opportunity to meet and speak to Dr. Riek Machar, what would be your message to him?

Sergeant: I will thank him for standing up against the tribal government of Salva Kiir, and I would ask him to kindly delegate his responsibilities to the young energetic boys. He’ll always be hailed as a hero for doing so.

Nicholas Osobi: Thank you for your time.

Sergeant: My pleasure.
