It’s believed that the king was advised to reschedule his visit due to the unstable security situation in Africa’s youngest nation according to a senior government official who did not want to give his name due to fear to retribution from the government.

“Yes the visit has been cancelled indefinitely, they said it was due to insecurity problems and lack of good place to stay for two days” a senior official who have his name as James said.

The King was supposed to visit South Sudan on Friday but the visit was then rescheduled to Saturday due to his busy schedule and muslim holiday of Friday according to South Sudan’s foreign ministry

“The King will arrive on Saturday because he is a Muslim, and he doesn’t travel on Fridays…. It will be on Saturday because the King doesn’t travel on Friday, because he is a religious person,” Ateny Wek Ateny told media in Juba.

Despite, there were no signs on Saturday that the king could visit the war-torn capital and one of the most expensive but least developed cities in the world.

A Moroccan Newspaper (Al-Jamaheer) had reported on Friday that the King had cancelled his visit to the Republic of South Sudan until further notice.

However the newspaper added that the Moroccan Foreign minister had called his South Sudanese counterpart Deng Alor and had fruitful discussions, but did not give details of what they discussed.

The Moroccan Newspapers (Al-Jamaheer) reported that the King has directed his government to immediately construct a temporary field Hospital with all specialization in the capital, Juba, with capacity of 30-60 patients and be supplied with full medical and laboratory equipments, it added that the Hospital will include a Pharmaceutical department.

The King reportedly directed his government to start construction of the hospital immediately from beginning of this week.

But an official told Nyamilepedia reporter that the cancellation of the King’s visit was much more than a busy schedule. He believes it was due to the current civil war situation in the country.

“this issue if not solved of the war, it will destroy our opportunities, the King was suppose to come here with big projects and programs, now see….. where is it?” said James looking disappointed

South Sudan has been ravaged by a 3 year old civil war pitting supporters of President Salva Kiir, a Dinka, against supporters of former Vice President Riek Machar, a Nuer.

The war has left thousands dead and millions displaced from their homes; countless infrastructure and property worth millions has been destroyed.

The North Africa Kingdom of Morocco has recently intensified cooperation with its African counterparts.

The king recently visited Rwanda where he launched the establishment of the biggest solar production plant in Africa. He also launched the establishment of modern Health facilities and agricultural projects.
