Deadly attack leaves dozens dead on Juba-Yei road as fear of chaos grows
05 Jan, 2017 (Nyamilepedia) — A deadly attack on the juba-Yei road has left dozens dead including soldiers loyal to president Salva Kiir as fighting is believed to have started between various rival groups.
Ten people were left dead and 10 others injured which includes soldiers and women when gunmen attacked a convoy that was travelling on Juba Yet road near to the area of Khor Langa.

Speaking to media Lainya County Commissioner Mr Ernesto Taban said gunmen emerged and opened fire on the convoy which included soldiers loyal to Salva Kiir leaving dozens dead and several injured, the commissioner said at least 7 bodies have been confirmed dead and the rest have been rushed to Hospital in Juba.
Meanwhile 3 others were left dead and several more injured in another attack on the same road near the area of Jebel Kenyi when gunmen ambushed and opened fire on another convoy of 6 vehicles according to eye witnesses who survived the attack.
South Sudan has been racked by civil war since 2013, a peace agreement collapsed in July 2016 after fighting resumed in the capital Juba when forces loyal to president Salva Kiir attacked their peace partner and forces loyal to the First Vice President Dr Riek Machar causing the later to tactically withdraw from the capital under continuous government attack.
