Jan 1, 2017(Nyamilepedia) ——- Latest reports from Ayod County of Phow State, indicate that a heavy fighting resumed yesterday in Ayod town after many months of relative calm.

According to SPLA-IO military intelligence in Ayod, government troops tried to expand their cantonment area in Palith suburb and attempted to push back the SPLA-IO forces before an appointed governor, James Kok Ruei, arrives to set up his headquarters in Ayod.

The fighting, which lasted almost 3 hours, has claimed many lives on both sides and is expected to resume as youth threatens not to allow James Kok Ruei to set up any administration in the rebel strongholds.

According to Captain James Chuor, the SPLA-IO forces are commanded by Maj. Gen. Peter Puok Kong and Major General Simon Diang Duoth.

Chuor said the government troops have withdrawn from Ayod town last night toward Canan in attempt to retreat to Duk Padiet through the river bank.

James Kok, who spent nearly a week in Duk Padiet, has now returned to Juba but the white army threaten to attack Duk if James Kok uses the neighboring counties as his launching pad.

“We will eat our new year dinner in Duk tomorrow if Kok Ruei is still planning to bring war to Ayod through Duk” Captain Chuor says.

“People of Duk must know better and kick him out of there or our strong gallant forces will evade Duk. Our main target will be Bor this time” He continued.

Salva Kiir government ordered that all governors and county commissioners must be at their headquarters to get paid or else they risk being removed.

Hon. Kok has returned to Juba after the local community threatened him to leave  or else the situation could escalate to destabilize their area.

Similar attempt to land a government appointed commissioner and his delegation in Ganyliel of Payinjiar County has landed government officials in prison in a rebels’ stronghold.

The illegitimate and failed government of Jaang is being resisted left and right. It’s funny how false claims of the so called born to rule is not worthy of depending.

Happy New year to the literature in pagaak and to those in the front lines.
Blessed..victory is the only option.

Happy new year to Nyamilepedia team as well.
