Nov 05, 2016(Nyamilepedia) ——- The SPLM-IO Mission to the Republic of Kenya regrets the unfortunate Deportation of the Press Secretary of the Chairman and Commander in chief of SPLM (IO) Dr. Riek Machar, James Gatdet Dak to Juba by the Government of Kenya on 3rd November, disregarding the all appeals made by Our humbled Office, the Chairman of SPLM (IO) and United Nations High Commission for Refugees (UNHCR) in Kenya.

As a response of our leadership regarding the afflicted occurrence, our Chairman and Commander in Chief, Dr. Riek Machar Teny ordered all our commanders and Generals to protect all Kenyans, Businesspeople, Traders and NGO workers living and working in our control areas all return to their normal living conditions and do their normal activities. Because they are innocents and have no role in the deportation of Mr. James Gatdet Dak.

He spoke on the phone with our commanders yesterday and today to ensure the safety of Kenyans in Akobo which where some of Kenyan’s NGO workers Passports had been taken but they have been returned after the orders of the Chairman. The Kenyans who work for IMC are requesting to leave voluntarily and are free to do so.

In article 2 of Kenyan constitution makes the deportation of Mr. James Gatdet illegal and violates international treaties but we believe that it could not have been ordered by Government of Kenya but we have received some information that the regime in Juba is using money to use the people who are claiming to be the security personals who contributed in the abduction.

We call on Kenya to continue supporting the August 2015 Peace Accord of the conflict in South Sudan (ARCISS) and our historical relationship should not breakdown because of some brokers who were behind the deportation of Mr. James Gatdet.

Eventually, we appeals to the international community particularly the UN and UNHCR to ensure Mr. James Gatdet Dak safety in Juba and make desperate efforts to release or to evacuate him to a safer destination.
