Oct 29, 2016(Nyamilepedia) ——- We, members of Western Bahr Al Ghazal State gWBGS in Diaspora are outraged, appalled, and anguished by the systematic barbaric killing of our follow citizen in the Wau town on October 27, 2016, by the government forces SPLA and its militia Mathiang Anyoor.

On Monday, October 24, 2016, copies of a letter calling for Equatorians to move out from Bahr el Ghazal region, have been distributed in Wau town signed by a self-assigned group calling themselves Youth of Greater Bahr el Ghazal region, who are not citizen of WBGS. The alleged group dismissed any present of Equatorians in what they claim to be their region and threatened to kill all Equatorians in the state, in revenge for the alleged death of members of the Dinka community who were killed on Juba-Yei and Juba-Nimule roads.

As a result, on October 27, 2016, Wau state original citizens protested against the letter written by the so call Youth of Great Bahr Ghazal region and dismissed the letter carrying the threat from the alleged youth. Furthermore, the citizens in Wau town strongly condemned and refused the provocative threats that threatened the already worst situation in Wau city. Instead, the citizens in Wau town issued statement welcomed their brothers Equatorians and call for peaceful co-existence in the WBGS.

As the result of the protest by the original citizens of Wau town, on the same day, there have been series of serious gunshots targeting the Fertit civilians in Wau city, specifically in Lokoloko, Kosti, Hai Jebel, Suk Jou, Nazareth, Daraja and few other Fertit residential areas. The sporadic gunfire started from the 14:00 continued until early morning October 28, 2016. The shootings resulted to the killing of eight innocent Fertit civilians, serious properties lost and caused panic among the civilians. The gunfire was instigated by the government forces SPLA and its militia Mathiang Anyoor, with the aim of silent Fertit in Wau for their refusal of threatening the life of Equatorians in the Wau town.
The violence in WBGS was encouraged by the call made on October 19, 2016 by South Sudan president, Salva Kiir Mayardit threatened to personally lead and direct military operations to kill Equatorians, particularly in Yei county, vowing to relocate to the area. The call by Salva Kiir Mayardit was a clear sign to the Dinka youth to kill and intimidate Equatorians. We, the WBGS community in Diaspora condemn the president for instigating violence against Equatorians. We further blame the Salva Kiir Mayardit personally for the encouraging, arming, and recruiting his ethnic of Dinka to kill and intimidate other innocent South Sudanese civilians.

We, the WBGS in Diaspora condemn the violence in Wau town that created by the SPLA, Mathiang Anyoor, and the alleged Youth group coming from the neighbor states, especially from Aweil. We call on them to refrain from the violence, otherwise, we ask the Western Bahr Al Ghazal Lion army to interfere and protect our civilians from their aggressions by all mean. We would further like to dismiss the act by the alleged Youth and the claim by them to be WBGS representatives. Instead, we advise them to return to their original states and leave our people and the WBGS in peace.

First, I would like to pass my sorrow to the families of the dead fellow countrymen. May the Almight God rest their in peace. For this type of incedent, it is crime against humanity to kill innocents people. We condame it in very strong term. But my question is when are we going to end this sensless killing. The leaders of South Sudan are finishing us cetizens. They divide us base on tribal bases to fight on their behalf. And we blinly follow them without question for the reasons we are dying. The recent report by Amercan Holywood Actor, Mr. George Colony have reveal the money that has been stolen by the leaders of South Sudan. The list include the top people, starting from SPLA IO, Former Detainees to the SPLA IG. Is this not enough for us to refuse their recruitment for fighting their war of leadership? Since 2005, the death of innocent citizens have never stopped in South Sudan. If we refuse to fight for them, they will sit down to agree among themselves. After all, it is one party call SPLM that has split itself into many groups and start the devatating the country. My point is that, we the ordinary citizens of 64 tribes must say No to the war!
