August 27, 2016(Nyamilepedia) —— TORIT… The Governor of Imatong State Hon. Nartisio Loluke Manir on Wednesday held a consultative meeting on his visit to the State Ministry of Information, Culture, Youth and Sport with the purpose to listen and share challenges facing employees of the state ministry.

In his talking point with senior officials of the Ministry, hon. Loluke noted that since he took over his office, he has not sat down because of the prevailing situation. Loluke said the Ministry of Information is the main institution of the government that portrays the image of the state by disseminating essential information about the government policies, activities, programmes and services citing that ‘information is power’.

He urges state Journalists to be proactive in the process of searching and delivering information professionally. He underlined the necessity of capacity building of Radio Journalists, expressing regret of the previous administration that had dismantled media sector in the state.

Loluke further appealed to the state journalists to fight the legacy and attitude of mercenaries deeply rooted in the state and that such attitude must be changed or else those practicing it will face consequences.

“we need to make our radio full of news through wide coverage to give to all agencies in the state,” Loluke told ministry staffs at the meeting.

He however assures, in respect to the radio journalists, that his administration will address number of challenges facing the radio.
