It should be noted that Dr. Richard K. Mulla’s defection swiftly occurred following the recent series of events that led him to Kampala where he subsequently issued a statement on his intention to join the government’s delegation that was dispatched to Nairobi to negotiate the role and size of the proposed regional intervention force to South Sudan if not to thwart it in totality.

Thereafter, Dr. Richard K. Mulla returned to Juba to brief President Salva Kiir on the outcome of their Nairobi meeting unquestionably as part of the government delegation.

The citizens of Mid-West State under SPLM/A-IO have lost confidence in Dr. Richard K. Mulla and accepted the fact that indeed he (Dr. Richard) has declared where he wanted to serve and thus does not any longer represent the interest of Mid-West State and is equally no longer a member of the I.O.

The military Government of Mid-West State therefore directs the attention of the I.O members toward the cause, the freedom of the people of South Sudan and therefore urges them to disassociate themselves from Dr. Richard K. Mulla and have no IO business to do with him.

As you all know, our movement is firmly focused and united under the leadership of Dr. Riek Machar Teny- Dhurgon who is the C-in-C whose goal is to rescue the people of South Sudan from the tyranny in Juba.

The State wishes Dr. Richard K Mulla all the best with his career in the current regime in Juba; however, as stated, caution him to keep away from meddling with the affairs of the State of Mid-West and IO.
