Juba, South Sudan.
August 20, 2016(Nyamilepedia) —— The newly elected chairman of Guit county community, replacing the former chairman of Guit county community, Mr.Geng Kuony Puok, strongly condemn Taban and his group, The Crown Hotel Party, for instigating a coup to create rift within the party, Nuer and Guit Community.
Speaking during a general assembly meeting, briefing the community and his new leadership, attended by all community members on Saturday 13th August, 2016 in POC 3- Juba the new chairman assures his community that Taban and his loyalist are now barred from Guit and they must abstain from inciting the community against the SPLM/SPLA-IO leadership.
The new chairman has issued condemnation statement about the recent violence which erupted on 8th July 2016 at Presidential palace – Juba and also condemned in the strongest term possible the illegal replacement of the true leader of the armed opposition, H.E Dr.Riek Machar Teny Dhurgon, by Gen.Taban Deng Gai who has already defected from SPLM/A-IO to Salva Kiir’s SPLM/A-IG.

On behave of Guit county community; we fully stand with solidarity in support of people’s movement SPLM/A-IO under the leadership of Dr.Riek Machar Teny Dhurgon, the chairman and the commander in chief of SPLM/A-IO.
As we are for peace, we strongly urge and warn our community members who are currently rooming in Juba crown hotel and Kuergeng area (Guit county-Unity state) and other people who are alleged to be loyal to Gen. Taban Deng Gai to refrain and distance themselves from him because he is not for peace and our aspiration.
Guit county community, we welcome the IGAD PLUS, African Union and United Nation Security Council decision to deploy protection forces to bolster security to Internally displaced persons (IDPs) in POCs and South Sudan as a whole .
We urge African Union and other international community to immediately set hybrid court for South Sudan (HCSS) to trial and bring to justice all perpetrators and criminals to book.
