August 17, 2016(Nyamilepedia) —— As war continues to drag on in South Sudan, many South Sudanese in diaspora continue to organize huge protests calling for peace, regional intervention, justice and accountability for the atrocities and war crimes committed largely by Salva Kiir government and rebels in the country for the past three years.

On Tuesday, in Perth of Western Australia, hundreds of South Sudanese – Australians marched to the State Parliament to draw attention to the conflict back home in South Sudan.

The protestors called for UN intervention in the country to prevent more massacres, rape and other atrocities that are being currently committed by men in uniform in a broad daylight.

According to victims reports, many foreigners, mostly Americans and hundreds of locals were raped, abused or killed in hotels and also on the streets.

Neither the United Nations Mision in South Sudan or Salva Kiir’s SPLA faction managed to timely intervene and protect civilians.

Similar protests are also being conducted in the United States, Canada and many other foreign countries.

While the protests in Diaspora are calling for UN intervention, justice and accountability, the protests in Juba and other government-controlled areas are protesting against UN and regional intervention.

Unlike in South Sudan, the South Sudanese – Australians peacefully conveyed their message to the state officials and returned back home believing that their government has listened to their demands and positive measures will be taken to bolster roadmaps that support political solutions to the conflict.
