April 29, 2016(Nyamilepedia) —– Millions of congratulations to Lt. Gen. Gabriel Duop Lam, the former minister of law enforcement of Jonglei state and the former military governor of Phou state for your appointment as the Deputy Minister of Interior.

Sir, for your hard work and resilience, you have won trust of SPLM/SPLA-IO leadership, Dr. Riek Machar Teny and the South Sudanese people, and for such we strongly believe that Juba and South Sudan will once again experience real peace under your leadership and overall guidance of a no nonsense highly trained 1st. Gen. Hon. Alfred Lado Gore, the architect Deputy Commander in Chief of SPLA and Deputy Chairman of SPLM in Opposition.  The two of you are the right people, at the right place and at the right time!

Mr. Honorable, your appointment is a wise and bold decision made by none other than our visionary Chairman, His Excellency, Dr. Riek Machar Teny Dhurgon, the first Vice President of our Federal Republic of South Sudan.

I write these zillions of heartfelt congratulations on your appointment honorable as a son of South Sudan and also as your community member from Phow State because we strongly believe your appointment will bring a lot of achievements in our war-torn country, south Sudan, particularly in the national capital, Juba.

Our citizens will once again reap high benefits of your appointment because we believe that there will be no more “unknown gunshot” terrorizing our people in Juba at night. After you took your oath today in Juba the citizens will begin moving freely without fear from tonight and we hope you will serve your nation in good faith, nothing more and nothing less.

Without further adieu, we thanks the SPLM /A IO for the trust they endowed on you honorable. Your people, particularly the Phou community worldwide, can’t thanks the Almighty father enough for all his guidance during the difficult times where you had to make bold and tough decisions. We vividly remembers like yesterday that you were the fourth(4th) high rank general and minister to defect and moved through enemy territory right from Juba to Ayod county where you stood tall with your people. This is a tough decision that many cowards are yet to think of in their entire life.

We also thanks you for how you set up a better system in Ayod county during the war, a system that is much superior than that of the government in Juba and other parts of the country. It is only in Ayod where you treated a government POWs, Brig. Gen Chol and his team, who wrongly landed in your territory, like brothers in Christ and handed them over over to the same government that was still detaining and killing your people. That is what leadership means!

Last but not the least, I personally give thanks to H. E,  First Vice President of the Republic of South Sudan, Dr. Riek Machar Teny,  who trusted you and your community at large within the SPLM/A-IO movement and now toward the implementations of the peace agreement.

May the Lord God continue to guide and bless you and your people!
