Jan 07, 2016(Nyamilepedia) —- On January 5, 2016 a certain Peter Oyoyo Kleto used my name without my permission to issue a statement published on online www.Nymile.com and quoted today 7th of January 2016 by www.sudantribune, claiming that I and the leadership of SPLA/M-IO operating in Eastern Equatoria State (EES), under the name South Sudan Armed Forces (SSAF), authorised him to serve as a link between SSAF and the Office of SPLA/M-IO chairman and Commander in Chief, Dr Riek Machar Teny.

I would like to inform our forces and the general public that Mr Peter Oyoyo Kleto is not listed in the rank and file of SSAF, and I have never seen, neither contacted nor authorised him to issue any statement in my name and on behalf of SSAF. Whereas Mr Kleto has the luxury to access and misuse media outlets, the plight and suffering of our people should never be the reason for him to abuse my name, mislead the public and misrepresent the position of SSAF and its strategic alliance with SPLA/M-IO under the able leadership of Dr Riek Machar Teny.

While our vision for a peaceful, free and independent South Sudan, which is founded on the blood and sacrifices of our forefathers, is the main focus of our struggle, we in SSAF will never tolerate and entertain the allegations by Mr Kleto that we are connected to General Peter Gatdet Yak and his group and that we delegated him to present certain demands on our behalf to the Office of Dr Riek Machar Teny.

As SSAF under leadership of Major General Anthony Osuru Ongwaja, we support the current Compromise Peace Agreement (CPA) on the Resolution of the Conflict in the Republic of South Sudan (ARCISS) and are committed to working with all the freedom fighters in South Sudan who are defending and resisting the mistreatment of our people by any government.

Colonel Oliwa Mario Bertino,

Eastern Equatoria State (EES), South Sudan
